Welcome to the Art Glass Center
The Art Glass Center at Glen Echo is a nonprofit school, resource center and gallery for kiln formed glass that serves the Washington metropolitan area. The center is directed by artists in residence who are committed to both teaching and Creating.
Once you have completed a first time fusers class or equivalent, work independently by signing up for an Open Studio Session. Sessions are offered at $20/hour for 2 hour minimum. Please see Open Studio Guidelines for full details.
The Art Glass Center is directed by artists-in residence who are committed to both teaching and creating. From educators and scientists, to professional artists- we come from a variety of backgrounds. Collectively we’ve acquired a vast array of kiln forming skills, teach workshops, host Open Studio, keep the studio running, and enjoy creating kiln formed glass reflecting our individual styles.
